FAQ's

Q: Why only toothbrushes? Why not toothpaste, floss etc?

A: Toothbrushes are the best way to start people of all ages on the road to better dental health. Although toothpaste can certainly help, actually brushing away food particles and the like is the best way to prevent cavities. Unfortunately, toothpaste is also heavy. The collected toothbrushes have to shipped, sometimes halfway across the world. If we were to collect toothpaste as well as toothbrushes, it would cost too much to ship to its intended beneficiaries. Although dental floss is not heavy, there is not enough time on dental missions to educate people to floss properly. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to send anything other than toothbrushes. Anything received other than toothbrushes may have to be thrown away.

Q: Are my contributions tax deductible?

A: Recently, we became eligible to receive monetary and other contributions under the aegis of our fiscal agent, Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Any contributions received are fully tax deductible under applicable laws.

Q: Where will my donated toothbrushes go?

A: All toothbrushes we collect will be sent to dental healthcare missions around the world under the auspices of World Dental Relief.

Q: What if I'd like to send you toothbrushes in bulk?

A: We would be grateful for large contributions. These can be mailed to our main address on the home page. If you have any specific questions before you send your donation, please ask us through our contact page.
